About the Authors
In a few short years from 1994 onward, Jimmy Ong lost everything he had: his business, his marriage and even his beloved 10-year-old son to cancer. In a further blow, he was also made a bankrupt.
Despite his low chances of success through sheer determination and will to succeed, he executed life strategies which he used to rise through the organisations he worked in. He eventually became the in-house trainer and Deputy General Manager in a listed company. In 2012, with his employer's blessings, Jimmy set up his own company: Jimmy Ong Motivation and Coaching.
Jimmy conducts motivational talks, both to small enterprises and Fortune 500 companies, and does so pro bono to societies serving the disadvantaged. He has combined his unique life experiences with established training methodologies to create motivational programs that inspire anyone to overcome life's challenges - however impossible they may seem.
Jimmy's life mission is to inspire and empower people who are going through life struggles, through enriching them by sharing his own journeys of breakthrough, and providing a simple and powerful roadmap to success. He works to change mindsets from 'I have to' to 'I want to'; 'It's not my job' to 'How can I help?'; and 'me' to 'us', and so increase people's productivity while helping them fulfil their personal and professional goals.
His life story has been featured in the media, including Simply Her in June 2009, The Sunday Times in September 2012 and MediaCorp Radio's 938LIVE in January 2013.
