Paul Banwell Means (1894–1980) had served as a missionary, linguist, translator and literacy specialist in many parts of Asia, especially Southeast Asia among the “Orang Asli” of Malaysia. To him, mission was not just the effective communication of the gospel message, it was also about transforming communities and permeating culture with values that promoted justice, peace and love.
