Ting Choon Meng
Dr Ting Choon Meng graduated in 1984 from the National University of Singapore with an MBBS and has been in private practice since 1987. As an innovator and trendsetter, he has started many initiatives both in medicine and inventions of medical devices. Dr Ting has administered viscosupplementation (VSP) since 1991 and pioneered the use of VSP for other joints like the ankles, hips and even Temporal-Mandibular Joint. He has a number of patents granted for his inventions in the area of medical monitoring devices, through which have won him international awards such as the Technology Pioneer Award 2007 from the World Economic Forum, and the Excellence in HealthCare Award 2007 by Frost & Sullivan in the Monitoring Technology Category. Dr Ting currently spends half his time in clinic practice and the rest in research.
