Mrs Lee Gek Kim has been teaching for more than five decades in various schools in Singapore and overseas. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History from the University of Singapore and a Master of Arts degree in English Literature from the National University of Singapore. She also holds a Royal Society of Arts Diploma for the Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL) from the British Council, Singapore and a Further Professional Diploma in Education (Secondary) from the Nanyang Technological University and the National Institute of Education, Singapore. Retired since 2006, Mrs Lee continues to do relief teaching. She is married with two children and two grandchildren.
