Synopsis

In early 2020, Dr Helen Ko faced a devastating diagnosis of advanced cancer. Her life permanently changed by surgery, chemotherapy and other agonising experiences and complications, she fought the disease alongside her family and loved ones, endured its highs and lows and continued to fulfill her calling to teach. Above all, she drew immense strength from her faith in a sovereign God of love and compassion.

This book from the depths is compiled from her spiritual reflections, academic knowledge and updates to family and friends. A heartfelt affirmation of the will of God, it is inspiring in its celebration of the joys of family; divine hope despite pain, infirmity and questions; and living life to the full. Her invaluable insights, story of resilience and practical advice for patients, caregivers and families alike will guide you on your own journey—be it walking alongside a loved one through illness or seeking inspiration for your own life’s challenges.
